That the family can be our strongest support as well as our greatest concern, even a burden or even a threat, has already been discussed here in one or the other post.

Of course, the family is not important to everyone. There are enough people who have absolutely no desire to have any contact with the people who are predestined to be closest to them, as shown for example by the story of this Spaniard, who has lived in an Italian forest for 19 years now and not wants to be found. There is nothing that does not exist.

For example, people who try so hard to keep the family together that they would do anything to avert any danger. So much so that they overshoot the proclaimed target.

But that’s how we humans are. It seems we were suffering from a curse. We love this tendency so much that we crush everything we just want to protect from the evils of the world. We can make ourselves the biggest threat to what we love most.

It is unclear what Denkfabrik meant by a “Spaniard living in an Italian forest for 19 years,” even though — from what I can tell with my three years of highschool German — this seems to be an accurate translation.
