“Frankie, must maintain her position of control when her dangerous ex-boyfriend, Lucas, returns and invades her home requesting a place to stay. When Lucas meets his daughter, Alice, for the first time he begins to see much of himself in her personality, challenging Frankie’s role as a mother.”

This was the fourth short film I worked on with director James Abrams, and one of about five I’ve done with Tyler—who, depending on the project, was often the daughter I never had. In the local filmmaking scene, I was one of several of her frequent fathers.
Jessica Bell played Frankie. She was my ex-wife more than once. Not long after this, her reenactment performance as Aileen Wuornos on Snapped earned her the thumbnail for the show’s Notorious mini-series and led to ongoing work as a stunt coordinator.
