Music of Epilogue

From 2012 to 2020, I played keys and spacetime knobs in a band with Michael Lloyd on drums, Ryan J. Bernfield on guitar and vocals, Jacob Philips on bass, and Bobby Mayville handling vocals, harmonica, and recorder. We made original music that people described as “eclectic-psychedelic alternative rock” or, depending on who you asked, “electro-jazz metal.”

My setup: a keyboard, computer-based soft synths, and a sprawling bank of up to twenty effects pedals. Some songs, I’d hit a single note and ride the wave, bending it through layers of delay until the song was over.

We played a handful of bars, a block party, a nursing home, and several art galleries. Recorded an album just as the pandemic hit, and we never got back together.

I only play switches, knobs, feedback on this one. I was still figuring it out, so it get’s a little nuts.

A very live track.
